I thought that it would have happen already, but, today was the day. Kip finally figured out that the snow was deep enough to walk over the fence and escape. I found him out wandering around the outside of the fence line tonight when I went to feed. He has probably been out for at least a few hours. He had managed to get the "locking" lids off of the three grain buckets, eat about 5 -10 pounds of sweet COB and about the same amount of Safe Feed. He looked like he wasn't feeling the best. I hope that he is OK in the morning. He did take a big drink when he got back in the pasture. I put a temporary extra strand on the fence using bailing twine at the place that he got over. None of the others followed him out. You could see where they had stood around the escape route, but the other three didn't make the attempt.
Update: Looks like Kip is acting normal when I went to feed in the morning. Looks like we dodged a bullet.
